Join the  Cathedral Choir!

Are you between the ages of 8 and 14? Would you like to let your voice reverberate under the vaults of the Antwerp Cathedral? Or join others in using your singing talents during liturgy and concerts? Then the new Cathedral Choir for boys and girls is for you!

In The Cathedral Choir, you will receive solid choral training. You can live out your passion for music and further develop your voice. Moreover, you will learn more and more about classical music and (choral) singing. The varied programme is filled with rehearsals, vocal coaching, private singing lessons and performances in the beautiful cathedral acoustics!

OPEN REHEARSAL

Come and meet us! During the open rehearsal of The Cathedral Choir on Saturday, 17 June 2023, from 10 am - 12 pm in the choir room, you can soak up the atmosphere and sing along! Your parents are also welcome. Our music team will answer all your questions and provide information on the choir.

MAY and JUNE 2023

If you don't want to wait any longer, you are also welcome in May and June during rehearsals in the choir room. From now on, we will offer choral singing and voice training every Wednesday, from 2 - 4 pm. With Sebastiaan van Steenberge (Kapellmeister) and Anastaiia Staroselska (mezzo-soprano) we will work on the musical preparation for the family celebration of Sunday 25 June 2023. On that morning, we will conclude the school year festively with a performance in the Cathedral. You will receive more information during the rehearsals.

FROM SEPTEMBER 2023

From September 2023, the operation of the choir will continue on Wednesdays from 12 - 6 pm. These days will also be filled with rehearsals, vocal coaching and individual singing lessons. The programme will be framed by after-school supervision. By signing up, you will be kept informed of further developments! 😊
