Light

The most important architectural element in any Gothic church is light. The south-facing edifice captures the first light at dawn.

The colourful stained-glass windows capture this in colour planes, that tell stories. Over time, the original stained-glass windows of Antwerp’s cathedral were lost.

You can still experience the effect of the light on its interior on a sunny day.
