Midnight Mass in the Cathedral of Antwerp

The Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve is an unforgettable experience.

Prior to the Eucharist, the children and young adults of the cathedral choir sing Christmas carols for the thousand-plus faithful in the church. The bishop lays Jesus in the manger, together with the children, at the start of the service.

It’s always an emotional moment when everyone joins in, singing internationally-known carols to celebrate the birth of Christ.
